  • What will the weather be like this time of year?
We're delighted to celebrate our special day with you in August in Ireland! During this time of year, Ireland tends to experience mild and warm weather. It's a great opportunity to embrace the summer season and enjoy the beautiful outdoor surroundings. Don't forget to bring sunglasses, and any other essentials to stay comfortable under the sun. As our wedding venue is set in the picturesque Irish countryside, we're fortunate to have a stunning backdrop regardless of the weather. So, come prepared to celebrate and enjoy the warmth of the Irish summer as we create unforgettable memories together! However, as weather can be unpredictable, we recommend keeping an eye on the forecast closer to the date for more accurate information.
  • Will there be any Halal/Vegan/Vegetarian/Gluten free/Special diet options?
Absolutely! We understand the importance of accommodating various dietary needs and ensuring that everyone can enjoy a delicious meal at our wedding. We are happy to inform you that we will have Halal, vegan, and vegetarian food available. When you receive your RSVP, there will be an opportunity for you to indicate any dietary restrictions or preferences. We want all of our guests to feel welcome and satisfied, so rest assured that we will make every effort to provide a diverse menu that caters to different dietary requirements. If you have any specific concerns or questions about the menu options, please feel free to reach out to us.
  • When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?
Deadline: 15th July We would prefer if you posted the RSVP. But you can also text or call. Just make sure it's before this date to help us with organising.
  • What time should I arrive?
We recommend that you arrive 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the ceremony started on time as scheduled. This would mean aiming to be at the church for 12:30pm Friday 16th August. The Ceremony will start at 1pm.
  • What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
Dress Code: Wear Whatever Makes You Feel Happiest! At our wedding, we celebrate the merging of two cultures, each with its unique wedding traditions. We want you to feel comfortable and truly enjoy this special day with us. Therefore, there is no specific dress code to adhere to. We encourage you to wear whatever makes you feel happiest and reflects your personal style. Whether you choose to wear traditional attire from your culture, opt for a formal outfit, or feel more comfortable in more casual attire, we embrace and appreciate your individuality. Our focus is on celebrating love. So, please come dressed in whatever brings you joy!
  • Can we take photos during the Ceremony and Reception? Can we post these on social media?
Absolutely! We would be thrilled if you capture and share your favourite moments from our wedding. However, we kindly request that you remain respectful of the church ceremony. Catholic churches are sacred places, and the mass itself is very sacred. We kindly ask you not to take any photos while the mass is ongoing. Please make sure your phone is either off or on silent, and that you don't distract anyone from the ceremony. There is a professional photographer and videographer that will take beautiful photos for us at that part of the day, so sit back, relax and take in the experience. To make it even more exciting, we have a special hashtag for our wedding: #Abdullah&Sorcha By using this hashtag, we can easily find and enjoy all the photos shared by our friends and loved ones. It will be a wonderful way to reminisce about the joyous celebration and see the day through different perspectives. So, snap away, share your favourite shots, and let's create beautiful memories together! We can't wait to see your posts and relive the happiness of our wedding day through your eyes!
  • What should I do if I can’t make it?
We're sorry to hear you can't make it! - We kindly request that you inform us as both as soon as possible. You can reach out to us directly via phone, email, or any other communication method that works best for you. Your prompt response will help us with the necessary arrangements and adjustments. Contact Sorcha: Sorchacartoons@gmail.com or call / text 07539383115 to let her know asap.
  • Can I bring a date?
We understand that weddings can be a lot more fun when you have a special someone to share the experience with! You are more than welcome to bring a date to join us for the evening festivities and dance the night away at the Clandeboye!
